The Green Grid "Survey results: Data Center Economizer use"

In early 2011, The Green Grid (TGG)—an international, non-profit consortium working to enhance data center
resource efficiency—conducted a survey to learn more about current economizer awareness, perceptions, and
use in the data center industry. The survey’s results indicate that economizers are well-known throughout the
data center industry and that adoption is becoming fairly widespread.
Economizers represent an effective means of increasing energy efficiency and reducing costs in data centers,
and TGG expects this survey’s findings to spur further economizer research, education, and adoption efforts.
The following paper highlights some of the most interesting results from TGG’s survey.
